The Tory MP for Corby, Mrs Louise Mensch has released an email which refers to incidents in her past. This the result of tabloid journalists seeing what dirt they could dig up on her.
It appears that they have found comparatively little.
There are suggestions that she might have:
1. when in her late teens or early twenties, danced on tables whilst drunk.
2. had taken drugs.
3. had been sacked from her employer EMI for poor timekeeping and “inappropriate dress.”
Apart from a possible concern about number 2 – as this could amount from a trifling dabbling to something more serious – it seems that they have come up with very little mud that is capable of sticking.
British Gazette comment: In this case this organ is going to take advice from the highest authority and would refer the Reader to the New Testament, John, Chapter 8, verse 7:
“So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.”
